Opening range breakout statistics: what 5 years of data says
The ORB is one of the most traded session setups. We measured the 30-minute and 60-minute opening ranges for the London (08:00 UTC) and New York (13:30 UTC) sessions across 30+ markets: how often the range breaks, how often the first break actually holds to the session close, and how far price typically extends.

How to read it: the range breaking is near-certain - the trade is not "will it break", it's "will the break hold", and that continuation rate is far less generous. Extension is measured in opening-range units beyond the broken level. Educational, not investment advice.
